| Three kilometres northeast of Badacsony, near the settlement of
BADACSONYÖRS , signposts point up the hill to the Folly Aborétum
(April-Nov Tues-Sun 9am-6pm; 150Ft), a ten-minute steep walk uphill that
rewards visitors with excellent views and a small park offering a
peaceful contrast to Balaton. This private collection of cedars and
pines from all over the world was started in 1905, and it takes about an
hour to walk round. A kilometre or so back towards Badacsony is Balaton
Camping (tel 87/571-031; May to mid-Sept). The road opposite leads to an
excellent wine cellar at Mandulás utca 6, the Hörpinto Borozó , where
you can taste (and buy) the wines of István Szabó and enjoy excellent
homestyle food (daily: mid-May to mid-Sept 5-11pm; July & Aug noon-11pm;
